Interval is a newly formed artist-led platform based in Manchester, with a focus on digital and interactive art practice. It aims to provide a critical springboard for artists, connecting them to a collaborative environment through which they can develop and exhibit works.
Interval acts as a floating platform instead of a fixed collective or network. It is non-location specific, and through this fluidity aspires to frame and respond to the different cultures inherent within the alternative public sites that it secures.
As an initiative it aims to mobilise critical thinking around spatial and social practice, and through its activity investigate and map out a field, highlighting key areas of agency and inquiry.
Interval is supported by Arts Council England, Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Huddersfield
