§ not i {redacted}

'Not I {redacted}' is a typographic reduction of Samuel Beckett's 1970 play, in which 'MOUTH' delivers a monologue on a darkened stage.

Actualised in the form of a printed poster, this work redacts all textual elements, apart from the punctuation and the word 'mouth'. The rhythm of the monologue is retained within the negative space of the redacted text.

Typeset in 'Redacted' regular, italic, black; a custom typeface by Rob Lycett (2017).
